Today, I got my Macbook back from apple. While I was waiting for my macbook, I decided to play with my old dell laptop that I haven't touched in the last 2.5 years when it suddenly stopped working (basically display stopped working). At that time, because I had macbook, I didn't even try to see what's wrong with my dell, and it was just lying in my apartment since then.
So today morning, I opened my dell, reseated RAM... it still didn't boot. Then I opened it further, and disconnected and reconnected the cable connecting motherboard to the display.. and woosh.. display started working. I am happy even though there are some problems with the dell laptop's power socket.. but its okay, I have two laptops now :).
